Great spot for elevated Japanese cuisine! The location is small, a little plain, but nicely maintained and quite classy! Service is good too, as I felt like the staff treated me respectfully, were attentive, and prepared the food quickly. I've tried several items on the menu, including the Chicken Karaage and Dynamite Roll. I personally think that this is the best Chicken Karaage I've had in a while, with delicious flavours and chicken that had a crisp exterior and a soft, juicy interior. The wasabi seems real rather than the cheaper stuff you get at lower tier sushi spots. The bathroom is a great experience! Unique decorations, nice ambient lighting, and a clean space makes this a pleasing room to use. It is large and accessible as well. Fittings are nice but could be fancier. The large mirror is very useful to have. Bathroom: 7.5/10 You will pay a premium for the dishes, and I'm not sure that the premium is worth the improvement in the quality of the food. Still nice to go there once in a while!

What a delightful experience! Chef Kishimoto delivers super fresh and creative dishes. This was my second time going and it was excellent. We tried a dozen items and all of them were unique, rich in flavour and beautifully plated. Some of the highlights are the Dashi Chazuke which is made with charcoal grilled mushrooms and a sesame broth. The spicy tuna Oshi is absolute perfection. The smoked Oshi is a work of art! Wood smoke infused in an individual glass bowl. Very nice touch. The desserts were also very unique. The Warabi Mochi is kind of a Houjicha jelly and comes in a gorgeous layout. Shout out to our waiter Ryan, who was a real pro. Thank you!

Love this hidden gem spot on commercial drive. Been coming here for years. Love it so much we came at opening to get a table for 5. Always very fresh and very artistic in the presentation. My mil loved the rice they used. Cooked to perfection and texture was amazing. The smoked sablefish was sooo delicious and the soba noodles were also perfectly cooked.

I came here as an invite with some work colleagues, and an uncle. Our experience here was the bomb. Our most memorable dish was the smoked aburi in the glass. I could eat those all day, mind you it's pricey. The caterpillar roll was very cute in presentation and delicious as well. All the seafood was at high quality and very very fresh. Parking is very easy everywhere too. As for our services, very attentive. I love how they take their time to explain each and every dish. The decor is updated and it's cozy. I had a great time here and I would definitely come back again. Prices are on the high side, but you definitely have to try this place at least once. I'm addicted.

Delicious food and beautiful presentation. It is a great place to go on a solo date or date night. Good ambiance, delicious food, delicious wine, fresh, local… 5 stars! They infuse their own honey with foraged fruit and flowers and use that to make their delicious sorbet and ice cream. It is definitely pricey so go when you are celebrating or need to treat yourself after a hard day! 100% worth it for a once in the while delicious meal. Good service and lovely experience at the bar.

I had such an amazing experience here! Every dish was like a work of art, both in presentation and taste. Chirashi Donburi: Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented with a unique 20-grid design. Each section had premium ingredients like bluefin tuna, wagyu beef, salmon, and even caviar. The sushi rice was perfectly seasoned with shiso, sesame, ginger, and pickled radish—an explosion of ocean flavors in every bite. Smoked Oshi: Served under a glass dome, releasing an incredible cherrywood smoke aroma as it’s unveiled. The smoked salmon was tender and full of flavor—pure happiness in every mouthful!
